Massive UMPC poster has a name

As you know I was recently in China and posted a photo of a "four-storey" UMPC poster. This photo was taken outside of HaiDian District in Beijing, or better known as Tech Valley.

The poster is of the VIA based (TabletKiosk badged) UMPC, and is very impressive. It turns a lot of heads at the intersection outside of the district and in a Taxi of 4 geeks I was first to spot it - I must have smelt UMPC in the air. What I didn't realise was just how small the world would turn out to be however. It turns out that Bjorn Stromberg, my friend at VIA Taiwan, sits next to the girl, Eliane Hofmann, in the VIA offices.

So in case you missed the UMPC Poster Girl, here she is again! And don't print this off, it's hard enough being Eliane without her knowing a couple of thousand geeks now use her as a mouse pad and/or desktop wallpaper! LOL. Thanks Bjorn, great story!

Speaking about VIA, I'm sure I'm not alone in wanting to hear about your experience with the Samsung Q1b and that incredible battery life. So, is it truly the ultimate travel computer? Inquiring minds want to know! Truthfully, I'm on the verge of buying one and a thumbs up from you is enough for me. Hmmm... I wonder if Samsung knows you are so influential?

Hi Anonymous,

I think you better wait for a video! I'm waiting on my camera (replacement) and the return of my Q1, borrowed by mischievous geek, and then I'll get a summary up. If I just told you the answer now there wouldn't be any point in watching, would there? (Rhetorical)

If Samsung's listening, they ought to make me a shareholder, if there not, then it's up to my readers to let the manufacturers know where you're all getting your info from. Me, JK, GottaBe and others.[if it is just me then let them know that too...LOL]

Hey Hugo,
Nice to hear your sponsor is coming through for you. Are you going to get the camera you had before?
You described it way back:

Hi Steven,

It will probably be the same camera although I am waiting to hear back from them regarding any developments in the last 6 months. It is a great camera, the JVC M505.

I'll make sure you all know what I got.
