EO UMPC anounced

Is it just me or is TabletKiosk the only OEM with a heartbeat in the UMPC market. They’ve finally announced a name for their device: “EO” Love it, hate it, it’s here to stay. The EO will be released in first generation under the V-1100 Moniker.

Here’s some new photo’s too of the device too. Come on Samsung, Founder and ASUS where are shots of your new devices in action? [As I typed this Lora Heiny pinged me with a Founder Video - a must watch!]

Regrettably Toshiba has yet to come out of the closet on their UMPC either – I’m working on it!

The location of the battery makes this origami very appealing. why? because it makes very easy to create an extended battery for it ;-)

Good Job Citanic,

Yeah, I thought the battery photo was a good one since as far as I know it's a first of its kind in the UMPC space. As you say, very easy to expand!

Hugo,

you rebuilding the tegatech site ? =) .. I just got "rebuilding" note =). I agree I like the position of the battery .. and the name actually .. eo .. short .. a pain to search for on google though =).

I note the pricing in the US $899, $999 - are we going to go close here in OZ ?

Hey Jon,

"EO" is derived from the latin word for "GO," funky isn't it. Yeah Google algorithm's will eat it for breakfast; but don't forget most people will type "EO Tablet" or "EO UMPC!"

Pricing will be available in the morning for all to see!!! (29-March-07 Australia Time)

Man I'm either too tired, over worked and under paid - or just don't like detail...
