I was about to look for Wibrain review and for sure wait for yours. Discovered that such a passionate geek like you exists a week ago or so, been reading all of your blogs for past 2 days. Yet to buy my first umpc/tablet only with lots of helpful insights on it
hey Hugo, thanks for ur advice in the previous post about what good umpc to get for an animator. im interested in getting the oqo2 1.2mhz model (cheapest) but it says "*this configuration does not support pen input." does that mean it doesn;t support the pen digitizer capability/windows xp tablet capabilty? also i notice u have a huge collection of umpc's and i was wondering if u were interested in selling any of them, if u are please email me back at alainxh@hotmail.com. I'm still a student, so getting a second hand umpc would save me alot of money.thanks, alain huynh
Lowest OQO 02 does not have a tablet PC screen, only has 512mb RAM, 40gb HD, w/1.2ghz CPU and only available with XP Home or $100 more for XP Pro.
It is more targeted for those looking for a basic but pocketable mobile PC and not interested in Tablet feature. It is a shame because inking adds even more benefit & usefullness to the UMPC.
Better hurry up with the review! Chippy has already started to post his at UMPCportal. JKK has a video up on YouTube. Kevin Toffel at JKOnTheRun has one for review, too. (No - really, take your time and do your usual great job :-))
I'm really interested in how it compares to your OQO.
Where are thou review Hugo? Even some quick initial thoughts would be nice. Info on the wibrain is sparce as it is a new unit I guess but I need more info from the experts xD
Hugo, like the tutorial to upgrade the memory for the Samsung Q1U you did before, could you do one to upgrade the Wibrain B1E to 1gb? or the internal 30gb HD to a bigger one? Thanks!
