Q1U-ing in Paris

Life is pretty sureal at present. I've been travelling for some time and now I am in Slovenia waiting for mt delayed flight to Paris. So with two kids in hand I decided that there is no better way to kill time than to connect my son and I to the Airport WiFi. I gave my son the little OQO and I took the awesome little travel mate, i.e. the Samsung Q1U.

I'll be in Paris for the next week and will make an effort to post some more Q1U-ing on the road. Who knows, maybe you'll hear from me from the Eiffel Tower, or from Disneyland Paris.

I hope you're all well. Speak soon!

  3. Hey Hugo,

As you know I'm French and cooking is a very touchy subject for me....;-)

If I listen to my stomach I will advise you booking a table in great restaurant with a famous chef ...but these places are certainly booked for ages (and prices are very high...)

If I well understand you look for espacially "Paris ambiance" ...and I hope French cooking (it's no used covering thousand miles to come here and taste Australian one ;-D)

So to answer your question, I advise you booking table in a FLO Brasserie

    http://www.flobrasseries.com/brasseries/en/

I know all of them and I prefer followings:

LE VAUDEVILLE in front of the stock exchange and near from "OPERA GARNIER"

LE BOFINGER at "LA BASTILLE" you will make the revolution

LE TERMINUS NORD : in front of "GARE DU NORD" (if you cross the street and go into the station you will discover TGV : faster train in the world)

I advise you booking before (especially Saturday evening)

    Enjoy !!

    Hi Hugo,

I agree with Copycat (^^), a brasserie is a great idea! During the working days, I don't think booking is necessary.
Please notice that next Thursday, public transport in Paris will strikes.
    Enjoy your stay.

  5. Bon Jour my French friends,

I have to start by letting you know that Paris is just one of the most special places on earth. Thank you for your advice; especially that of the WiFi as it came in handy with the Q1U. As far as food goes here is what we did:
    1. Had a nice glass of Bordeaux under the Eiffel Tower with some chips and hot dogs!!!
    2. Then we went into the city and had lunch in a Restaurant named Devez. I had the best Cappachio ever!
    3. Last we finished up at Notre Dame and a candlelit Dinner at a Cafe/Bar named “Cafe Le Petit Pont!” Our table was next to the live Piano and we enjoyed every second!
All up Paris is one of the most memorable experiences I have had. We are already planning a trip back some day.

    Thank you Copycat and others!!!

I'm currently in the delivery room waiting for my wife to give birth! Hope you're having a good time!
