It's been so busy but I thought I'd take the opportunity to share a photo. Not only did the Black eo V7110 outsell the White 60/40 but they also had extra delays on their delivery dates. Finally Australia has seen three shipments of the black ones go out and this time I ripped one out of a box (before I got my hand smacked) and took a quick photo.
They're sexier, but, as we all know they get covered in finger prints. Oh well, I guess the FBI will never have a problem dusting them for prints!!!
It is quite nice in black! But the white one looks quite smart from my point of view I would doubt what to choose.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the pics :)
Hola Gabriel,
ReplyDeleteYes the black is nice but I tend to agree, the white is better. I bought, and paid for out of my own pocket, the white one. I had to put my money where my mouth is. My reason was that I couldn't be bothered cleaning the finger prints all the time! lol
Gracias por la visita Amigo!
Hugo, have you 'played' with one of the new eo's yet?
ReplyDeleteI haven't "played" or "worked" with the new eo yet. I can already see obvious advantages in that there is an integrated stand and an onboard camera. What I don't know however is the heat, screen brilliance, battery lilfe or touchscreen sensitivity.
ReplyDeleteExpect a video soon.
Just an off-topic comment. Have you ever tried a TFT with touch capability?
ReplyDeleteI will be purchasing a new screen for my desktop computer in a month time and I am wondering about one touchscreen.
I usually complain about having to grab a pen and a notebook to draw diagrams and stuff because I always forget where I drew. It would be really useful to draw in the screen directly.
What do you think?
Hola Gabriel,
ReplyDeleteI can highly recommend a touchscreen for your desktop. The funny thing about this solution is that you'll struggle to ever use a normal (non-touch) monitor ever again. The first thing I do after using one of my touchscreens for a few days in a row is shove my index finger straight onto the next monitor I sit in front of, and it's not always a "touchscreen", ouch!
Highly recommended! It's aesthetically pleasing and far more instinctual than the third-person action like that of using a mouse. Let me know how you go. *Thumbs up from me*
Thanks a lot for the quick answer! Any particular brand/model?
ReplyDeleteMuchas gracias de nuevo! :)
Hola Gabriel,
ReplyDeleteI think the touchscreen monitors will vary dramatically from country to country so I'll try not to recommend anything for you. What I will say is look for something with a real lightweight sensitivity, i.e. 70gramms to register an X/Y coordinate. Because you won't be leaning on it to write you'll find that the best experience will come from a really sensitive touchscreen.
It's important to note that this recommendation only strestches out to the desktop monitor as on a UMPC or laptop you would like to have the most resistive (or heavier weighted touchscreen), otherwise you'll always trigger a false reading as you lean. Since you won't be leaning look for something bright, big and sensitive!
Suerte!
