Ink Desktop - REALLY!

On this occasion I have been graced with the arrival of a brand new Wacom Graphire4 Pen Tablet. The reason: Well the reason is that Wacom has chosen to ride the Vista experience for all it's worth – which includes Tablet enabled Desktops…

A Tablet enabled Desktop is one of the most exciting “next gen” steps towards Tablet bliss. Due to Microsoft Tablet-enabling all of the Vista SKUs (except for Home Basic) what we’re now faced with is a world of Ink Enabled Desktops - REALLY. What does this mean you may ask? It means that Journal, Tablet Input Panel (TIP), Gestures and Ink-on-Office are only but a Wacom away!

So this is me (cheesy as ever) accepting graciously my new Vista Tablet Board – VIDEO SOON! If there is anything you want me to test please drop me a comment.

As a 'leftie' (who uses a mouse on the RHS) I can see some cool multi-mouse scenarios.
Right hand controling one mouse. Left hand doing some crazy handwriting.

Fun!

How are shares in Wacom these days?
Vista is a dream for them.

Steve.

Hey Chippy,

I'm so excited about this one mate - it looks awesome, has a nice weight about it, and has lots of geek potential for Vista.

Video soon.

I've been using intuos tablet surfaces for years and there is no better workstation interface. Most people think tablets are for drawing specific uses but they immensely speed up general computer navigation to the point where you will never want a mouse again. Just dont loose your pen they are quite expensive. A true power users gadget and truly great for long hours of work once you get used to it.

I've read about the graphire4 before but is this one I see here special in some way with vista? Bravo to you hugo I visit your site all the time buddy!

Hi EternalClarity,

I'm EternallyGrateful for your readership.

I am converted already. Just wait till you see my video - I'll give a good solid reason for this being a Tablet PC best friend, although I know that may sounds strange. The whole "ink desktop" thing and Vista is surely compelling.

Thanks for the comment and thoughts!

Hi Greg,

I've just had my second child so the review will take about a week more than I expected. From first impressions it is a great device with heaps of potential. The video will be worth the wait.

Let me know if there is anything in particular that you want me to test.

Once I played AOC, I did not know how to get strong, someone told me that you must have aoc gold.He gave me some conan gold, he said that I could buy age of conan gold, but I did not have money, then I played it all my spare time. From then on, I got some cheap aoc gold, if I did not continue to play it, I can sell aoc money to anyone who want.
I was a new player in Aion, I did not know what is the aion kina. Someone told me that aion online kina is the game gold, he said that I could buy aion kina, but I did not have money, then I played it all my spare time. From then on, I got some aion gold, if I did not continue to play it, I can sell cheap aion kina to anyone who want.
